The Humane Society of Ocean City traps endangered or hurt wildlife and domesticated animals in Ocean City, NJ. Our goal is to educate the community about the proper care of animals. We also provide 24-hour coverage and offer on-site services. We have five state-certified animal control officers, and two of them are state-certified animal cruelty investigators.

Call us to trap domesticated animals or wildlife if the following conditions are met:

  • The wildlife is endangered or hurt.
  • There’s no inclement weather.
  • It’s between 40 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • It’s not located at a private home or on private property.

Homeowners are encouraged to contact a private pest control service if you have an animal control issue on your private property.

Daily operations from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM except for holidays.

Are you looking for your lost pet?

City ordinance requires that full-time residents of Ocean City must have a current license to reclaim their pet from the Humane Society of Ocean City. All licenses can be obtained or purchased at the Office of the City Clerk at city hall.

Scheduled fees for reclaiming a domestic animal include:
$10.00 for the first day if the animal is reclaimed by 3:00 p.m. the day it's picked up
$20.00 per day for each day after
